We’re back with another tequila feature!
This time we’re here to highlight Clase Azul Blanco, a one-of-a-kind tequila!
Now, this unique silver tequila is luxurious in more ways than one. From it’s sleek hand-sculpted bottle to its smooth and sweet flavor profile, Clase Azul Blanco is truly original.
New to the world of tequila? Long-standing pro? Either way, Clase Azul Blanco is the perfect way to try something new.
Here you’ll find what makes Clase Azul Blanco a delicious addition to mixed drinks or a stand-alone superstar!
What Is Clase Azul Blanco?
Distinctively smooth and sweet, this alcohol exceeds expectations for even amateur tequila sippers.
Crafted using only 100% blue agave and cooked in traditional brick ovens, this tequila is full of flavor. Once the agave has cooked, the juices are extracted, fermented, and distilled.
You’d be lying if you said the beautiful bottle wasn’t the first thing you notice about Clase Azul Blanco, and for good reason! Over 100 artisans in the small Mexican town of Santa Maria Canchesda handcraft and paint these delicate bottles.
Clase Azul also mentions they ferment and distill their tequilas in the highlands of the town of Jesus Maria. The high altitude giving the drink a special flavor profile.
Tasting Profile of Clase Azul Blanco
This wouldn’t be a proper tequila review without our unapologetic appreciation for its superior flavor profile. As one of our seven silver tequilas, Clase Azul Blanco stands out for its smooth and distinctly sweet taste. Using 100% Weber Blue Agave, this tequila taste is unlike anything you’ve tried.
With a full-bodied taste, some may assume it could be too strong, but this is where Clase Azul Blanco differs. Full of body, but refined in taste, this silver tequila shines with notes of herbs and citrus.
The taste ends with a smooth finish and pleasant after-taste, highlighting its sweet nature.
Other Clase Azul Tequilas
One of four in their standard line, Clase Azul Blanco (or “Plata” as you may find on their website), is only the start of a stellar lineup.
Clase Azul Reposado, an aged reposado tequila, is a rich amber-colored tequila. Woody notes incorporated by the 8-month aging process are offset by fruity, vanilla, and even toffee caramel aromas. With a smooth taste and a silky body, its no wonder this one is a classic in their repertoire.
A warmer flavor profile presents itself in Clase Azul’s Anejo tequila. Mexican vanilla, cinnamon, apples, caramel, and almonds all deliciously combine to create a decadent, yet delicate taste. This amber-colored tequila is defined by the slow-cooked agave and its long aging process.
Finally, Clase Azul’s most refined, “ultra-premium” liquor Ultra. Clase Azul Ultra’s luxurious bottle features three different precious metals. To create such a tequila, it is produced in limited batches and aged for five years. This amber tequila is known for Clase Azul’s classic smoothness with notes of wood, fruit, and sherry.
